The Art of the Reflective Space:
The space of reflection is a powerful space for us to land in with horses.
To learn the art of being and how to cultivate that practice reflection with our horse partners is a powerful practice to both learn and to hold.
We sometimes measure the power of a practice with active activities, where we are doing and holding an outcome and result.
To sit in reflection is not always viewed as powerful but that is only because we do not always know how to speak to the potency of it.
Not all of us are wanting to create a practice of doing, for some of us, we are seeking to create quiet spaces where we can walk into a space with horses, and be, in meditation, with intention, to journal and to simply observe what happens when we are being guided by their medicine.
The Art of the Reflective Space is a retreat that has us landing in knowing the power of this energy and how to create experiences and exercises for our practice that center around the reflective energy, and feel confident about holding it.
What we will experience in this retreat:
What is a reflective space and how do we hold it?
What are some examples of more “reflective” activities and how do we cultivate that for our clients?
What are some intentions that we can bring and facilitate in the reflective space?
What is the wisdom and power of the reflective space and how do we language that to promote the value in the experience?
How do we set up a reflective space with our environment that also deeply honors the horses?
If you are an equine facilitator that is drawn to both holding more reflective spaces or to be able to speak and understand them in a way that holds value and potency, this is a beautiful retreat to attend.
What do we mean when we say reflective?
A reflective space is where we come into being with the horses without an agenda of doing, where we gather in a space of observation and witnessing with the horses and interpret that around an intention we have created for our clients or those that have come to be in the space of the horses.
This retreat is about learning how to set up the spaces of a reflective exercise, build our toolbox of reflective exercises and give us ideas of how we can blend the space of horse medicine into the spaces we are already holding.
